Tymon Burghy

Welcome! My name is Tymon Burghy and I love travelling. 

I grew up in Central Ohio, home to the Ohio State Buckeyes, Hopewell Indian Mounds, and a seven-storey building in the shape of a basket. Growing up I was enthralled with the idea of travelling and exploring other cultures. I have had an adventurous spirit instilled in me through my time in the scouting program as well as through my parents encouraging me to try new things and go to new places. My family loves to travel, with many trips being taken during our summers growing up, from the bloodstained hills of Gettysburg to the shark-filled waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

In 2020 I travelled to the United Kingdom to live for 9 months as part of an internship. While I was there I was able to travel to and explore different parts of the UK. I was unable, however, to travel to the rest of Europe due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic and the travel restrictions that the governments put in place. But my trips around the country were amazing and full of great stories that I can’t wait to tell. 

I am looking forward to further adventures and hope that his blog will be another way that I can share my experiences and stories and inspire others to give my favourite hobby a chance.
