These sketches are part of a project that I did over a period of a week to create a hand sketched fashion running shoe for New Balance. This was a project as part of a competition for the Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design. I chose to move forward with the concept I called the Hermes due to the ‘wing’ found on the heel.

This project allowed me to explore shoe design and rendering, away from the reaches of technology that I am used to like photoshop and sketchbook. The hand rendering was something I had fallen out of practice with and I am very glad to have had the chance to get back into it through the project.
